Some members of The Listening Group went to St Patrick's Primary School this morning. We met with other similar groups to discuss our work so far. We took the feedback from our recent Road Safety Questionnaire to the meeting. We discussed ideas and came up with an action plan.
Friday 3rd February 2017
Luke, Mackenzie, Kelsie, Lorna and Daisy worked on their ideas for a parent / carers questionnaire about road safety.
The group finalised the format of this, which was then copied and distributed to all classes the same day.
Wednesday 18th January 2017
The Listening Group held a short meeting to discuss concerns raised over safety, particularly with regard to traffic and road safety at the beginning and end of the school day.
Group members went away to think of ideas for next steps of action.
Wednesday 23rd November
We went to Bethel Methodist Church to discuss the top three problems in the local area (Sutton).
We all had a big vote and discussed our speeches, including what we thought we could change. The top three issues that we voted for were bus taxes, road safety and homelessness. There were only fifteen places in each vote and St Mary's had picked road safety.
