A River's Journey

Today we explored the journey of a river while we watched 6L of water pour down the hill. We noticed that water flows downhill and that it splits in all directions. The splits are called small rivers, streams and brooks. Later, we looked at Google Maps and related what we observed outside to the River Esk in the Lake District, which we saw flows into the sea. What a great start to our topic 'River Deep, Mountain High'.

Build a model of a flowing river - Homework

Wow what an amazing turnout we had for the homework. Every model was unique and expertly made. Here are a few photos we managed to take - in between figuring out how to get some of the models water pump systems working! Well done everyone.
