On Thursdays we don't teach maths or English as lessons so I will post the other bits we are doing.

We start our day with arithmetic paper. These two papers are half papers so please complete both in 30 mins. Please allow 30 mins only to do this and then mark it yourself.

In the zoom meeting, we will be looking at fossils. We will discuss some prior learning and then conduct an experiment on zoom about fossils. After the zoom lesson, children will write an explanation about how fossilisation occurs and how this helps palaeontologists know more about the evolution of animals.

In reading today, we will again look at answering a 3 mark question using our ape structure and sentence openers. Below, there is one for the children to have a go at independently. 

P4C -

It is really hard to do P4C at home as you can't really discuss it with many people. However, I thought I would post the stimulus so if you wanted a go at thinking about some concepts and some questions you can.

 

I have posted some thinking games questions to start you off.

Moving on from our concept of friendship, I want us to look at the concept of inclusion. Please look at the stimulus and consider:

  • What does it mean to be inclusive?
  • What words would you use to describe the characters in the picture?
  • Who is doing the wrong thing in the picture?

After you have thought about these things, I would like you to think about what concepts are in this stimulus and what questions you would have liked to discuss.
