## Lines and Angles

We have worked in small groups to find examples of parallel, perpendicular, horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines in the world and all around us!

## Place Value

Year 3 have been revisiting place value this week. We have been recapping the place value of digits in a 3 digit number and our knowledge of hundreds tens and ones. We know that when we compare numbers, we look at the first column to help us to decide which number is the biggest first.

## Multiplication and Division

We have been practising our multiplication and division and our 3, 4 and 8 times tables.

We have been using the grid methods to help us to multiply 2-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers and have solves some problems by spotting mistakes in pieces of work.

## Geometry

We have been learning about 3D shapes in Maths this week.

What is a vertices?

What is an edge?

Could you create a cube, cuboid, square based pyramid or other 3D shapes using straws and marshmallows at home?

## Telling the Time

We have been learning to tell the time to the closest minute in Year 3. We also learn this on clocks with Roman Numerals.

This week, we have started looking at multiplication. We have been creating arrays to help us to multiply by 3, 4 and 8.

What multiplications are been represented by these arrays which the children have made?

Can you name all of the multiplication and division facts in the fact families too?

N3.2- compare and order numbers to 1000.

Today we worked in teams to order numbers and representations 1000.

We know that we need to look at the hundreds column first to find the smallest numbers, then the tens, then the ones.
