Concept Curriculum

At St Mary’s, we educate for wisdom and aspiration with the help of the church and the community through a culture of dignity and respect. We aim to cultivate the wellness, gifts and talents of every child and equip them with the wisdom, knowledge and skills to live life in all its fullness: joys, celebrations, sorrows and struggles. We aim to do this through three distinct strands in our curriculum: Christian Distinctiveness, Wellness Provision and Academic Study.

Academic Study is guided by a concept - led curriculum. This document contains concepts from individual subjects from the wider curriculum. Objectives for English and Mathematics are taken from the National Curriculum. From this document, teachers plan topics which are guided by key texts and enquiry questions and enable them to promote our key drivers.

If you would like further information on the curriculum we teach, please contact the school directly.
