I have been a governor at St. Mary’s for several years and am also the Chair of Governors at Huthwaite All Saints Infant School.  My background is in education and I was a secondary school teacher for over 26 years. I am recently retired.

 Although they are both now adults, both of my children attended St. Mary’s and benefited from the education they received there. It has been a pleasure to be able give something back!

Currently, I am the governor responsible for Health & Safety and Safeguarding. This involves making regular visits to the school to complete risk assessments with the Site Manager and other staff members to ensure that the environment is as safe as possible for the children and staff.
