I have been a Diocesan Governor at St Mary’s since 2021 and also hold the role of Safeguarding Governor for the school. Holding these roles means that I am able to support the school, particularly with regards to Christian distinctiveness and ensure that all safeguarding procedures are followed to ensure that students at the school receive the best possible support and are able to access all the opportunities the school has to offer.
In my working life I am a Commissioning Manager for the Local Authority. I bring many transferrable skills to my governing role including the ability to carry out needs assessments, strategy development, problem solving, financial management and leadership skills.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my two children (which generally involves being a taxi to take them to their various activities!). As a family we are regular attendees of St Mary’s Church and enjoy the Worship for All services in particular. I also enjoy running, spinning and kickboxing.
