Humanities
Humanities subjects encompass History and Geography. When we redesigned our curriculum in 2022, we thought carefully about which aspects of these subjects we felt were key to developing knowledge and understanding that would set our children up to live and work in a 21st century society. As a result, human geography is a key feature of our Geography curriculum (considering the human impact on the world including pollution, globalisation and migration), and evidence is at the forefront of our History curriculum. This will enable our children to be critical readers of information and spot 'fake news' more easily; it will also help our children to preserve the world we live in for future generations.
