What is Bullying?
At St Mary's, we define bullying as the repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or group by another person or group, where the relationship involves an imbalance of power. Bullying can be physical, verbal or psychological. It can happen face-to-face or through cyberspace.
"The definition of bullying is very important to understand when assessing the difference between ‘relational conflict’ - where there is a ‘falling out’ between individuals - and when it tips the balance to bullying."
